Hi MariVal,
yes, she did hypnotise me as I searched the north western sky for her to appear. Looking at a changing hue I drew my eyes to focus on the right line... I waited, as I turned to watch the six juvenile dolphins playing... (as children are prone to do,) in the opening of the breakwall separating the river to the bay. The bay in which I sit and watch... hmmm, observe and meld into my environment.
The sun was a spectacular; burnt orange, growing into a reddish dusk. The clouds supported the change perfectly, throwing up shades of red, orange and pink with that ever changing blue background of the sky growing darker. Back to Venus, then scanning to watch the little black dorsal fins circling in the water in the last golden tinge of light, then jumping out of the water, splashing back down... all the time one of the dolphins swims a bit wider than the rest of the pod, a loner, maybe an individual, or maybe a male, who knows, but it's great to make up scenarios. The little rascals have been coming in at nearly the same time for the last few evenings... each day a little later with the tide.
I'm so blessed!
No, no shooting stars, but I wait for the southern cross to appear to me on my left side... and yes, I did see Venus gazing back at me... I knew she seen me... she winked at me several times.
A beautiful Free Verse Gypsy Queen Blue Rose.
As always, your presentation and visual accompaniment is stunning. I love your attention to detail.
You never fail to impress!
With our thoughts we create...
the oneness of authentic connection.
Warm regards,
James.

Beautiful imagery and so detailed ... you took me there I can even hear the dolphin pod's whistles and clicks . They are such friendly and joyful creatures. I want to give a six stars review (it would be cool if we could) because it's so poetic with beautiful with awesome imagery and flavor.
Do you live close to the beach? It sounds like you do. I agree with you, you are blessed, and you deserve it because you are a caring and kind soul. I feel like I know you.
I'm happy you like it, I wrote it for a good friend. I hope he likes it too.

Yes MariVal, I live beside the river... the mighty Clarence river in the Northern Rivers area of NSW. Our village has one road in and one road out. On the drive in you pass by five separate beaches, then there is what we call main beach that is at the end of the breakwall about one kilometer from town. So there are six separate beaches in total. The town was originally situated near the beach, but back in the early nineteen hundreds the sand started taking back, so they move the village down the river two km away... but now with the breakwall that doesn't happen anymore. The beaches are spectacular... every one of them, each with their own kind of special. Each are situated on, or around gnarly headlands and have a separate identity... well apart from the Bluff beach to Frazers reef... it's one stretch. The Bluff beach is where Jade and I walk from town out through the world heritage rainforest for about 2.7 km to the beach, then we go for a dip and walk the beach to Frazer's and back, take another dip, walk up to the lookout at the bluff, have a snack before walking home. It's' all close by, nothing is too far away from everything else... it really is, paradise.

I don't know why I thought you were near the ocean. Maybe because you mentioned the beaches. It sounds breathtaking. When you say SNW do you mean south northern west of Australia?
Thank you for describing it to me. I wish I could live in the California coast. I am not far, something like 20 miles, but there are mountains between us so it takes 1 hour to the closest beach. We do have beautiful beaches in California. I used to live in Sacramento and I drove to San Francisco beaches all the time. Now I don't go anymore. Maybe soon.
Thank you for Maya's quote, it's perfect for me.
Good day to you, it's night time here. You will always be ahead of me in time. That sounds like the title of a fantasy scyfy movie LoL
What is the name of your town? You must have told me before but I have a terrible memory.

Now I know where you live. We are close to 9000 miles away. What's the biggest city close to you? Something I may find in Google map. It's fun to look it up.
-
Hmmmm, the biggest city?
Grafton is an hour south, it like a big country town, but is classified as a city. Lismore is and hour north and is very eclectic and diverse. Jade and I will be traveling their tomorrow. Lismore was devastated by the floods that ravaged the east coast of Australia early last year... 22.
And if you can't find them, and of course I am in NSW, east coast. About two hours south of the Queensland border. The gold coast is in Queensland, but is the next big city closest to us, followed by Brisbane, three hours north, also in Queensland. My region is classified as the Northern Rivers of NSW. The Clarence coast to be more to the point. If you go on google map and track my place down... that's me waving to you from the front yard next to the blue A-frame house.:)
-
Blue house? I love blue. I'll Google you and wave hello too. :)
Thank you for the info
I wrote a poem about mother nature you may like, since you two are tight. LoL it's called....."Sizzling Sunrise's Color Bomb." ...

This was a beautiful poem. You led me on the search for Venus. Amidst the stardust and moon beams. I was adrift in the sky. Searching for true love. Beautiful poem. Gretchen

There are always some people seeking for love and never keeping their sights on reality. The poem's narrator asks some pointed questions like " did you see her gazing back at you" which should make the addressee wonder if his desired love makes any sense.

I enjoyed your wonderful presentation again. In this line, I feel it's missing a word, but if you add it, then it messes up our syllable count and I understand in poetry that's not good.
Tell me did she sweep off your feet ( I read is as sweep you off your feet)

It is possible to see Venus with the naked eye on a clear night. My eyesight is very poor and I doubt I would be able to see, but with your well versed poem I felt Venus in my heart, love Dolly x
