I'm glad that in this country they will not marry you if one of you is obviously drunk. This is a good monostitch poem with an interesting subject - I just hope that it is not autobiographical.

This scenario does happen in Vegas (and Reno) more often than you would think. You might introduce a short story with this Monostich. Your ending sounds contrived because of your misuse of WED. Why not just say WEDDING?
