Hi Sharon,
Congrats on winning the contest with this fun Halloween poem. It goes over all the costumes kids wear and the folklore behind them. I like Dracula making Bloody Mary cocktails with real blood instead of tomato juice.

Great stanzas in 8/6.
Check your dictionary as someone your accents on the of the syllables in your words are incorrect.
I always face that challenge when doing an 8/6.
Think...da-Dum, da-DUM, da-DUM, da-DUM =8
da-DUM, da-DUM, da-DUM =6
Keep that rhythm on your head when writing.
An all around delightfully fun poem and best wishes in the contest!

Well I don't think you've left many characters out here! That Halloween is going to be quite a party! Your verse flows with a lovely upbeat tone drawing the reader into all that "high jinx " (plural of this would be jinxes so I think you're better off keeping to the singular - Halloween high jinx come(s) alive) and fun! A very fun poem I like it he did a great job! Your rhyming scheme is great and the flow is good. Her choice of words and sense structure creates a fun halloween poem. I must read for everyone!
I like the halloween colors in the whole day cars while if I had a Six I would give it to you I am however oh so I'm sending you a virtual six!
