Good for you, Sally! You've done a terrific job with this novel, and tied all the loose ends in a neat bow with this epilogue. I hope to buy all your other books for my library in the near future. So far, I've got "Double Blind" and "What The Blind Girl Saw".
It is nice to see that the Laws are staying in Aspen Grove. I can't wait to find out where the next case will take them. Perhaps to a murder at SkyLodge in Jackman, Maine, only 12 miles from the Quebec border! But the victim is... an alien!

Anyway, I think I recall you saying that you're taking a break from novel-writing in 2024, sticking more to poetry and short works. That will give Sally and Jackson (and King) time to get settled in their new mansion.

Hugs,
Kimbob

I love your epilogue! A fitting was to tie up all ends, loose or otherwise. I love to see what happens to all your characters and to give all of us closure.
I am looking forward to adding this book to my growing collection as soon as it become available!!

I also can't wait to see what else you come up with on here!!

Sorry my review is so late. I've been super busy and working on a chapter.

Hugs,
Rhonda

Aww, you are so kind. I almost missed it as it got buried in with others. My head's above water right now. Grades are due tomorrow and I'm pretty much finished with them. The frenzy is past for a bit, hehe.

I have so much enjoyed the parts of your book that I was able to read. I have been a little slow on reviewing because of the fact that I've been on some very strong medicine for the bones that are broken. It's been hard for me to be able to concentrate. Patricia.

I'm glad everything worked out so well for everyone. Will Sally's next case be in Aspen Grove? I can't imagine she wants to retire. Can't wait to see what she gets up to next.

Thank you for the wonderful review and kind encouragement. My next book is something completely different: Mirder By Chocolate. It is a whodunnit and will be easier for my readers to follow. More like a Miss Marple or Sherlock Holmes. Sending you my best today as always,

My goodness, Sally. Among many of your talents is your prodigious memory. You have a remarkable legacy here. One of which you should be rightfully proud. You have endured your stories to so many, the least of which are those that are somehow impaired. You have given them hope that they can do as you have done or wherever their talents might lead them, but also an indelible memory of your stories. God speed in your endeavors. Loren

Thank you, Sal, for giving us the ideal Epilogue to your best story yet, including the news that the Blind Detective and close associates from Louisiana plan to remain in Aspen Grove. (Who would want to leave a fine and scenic small city with a known warrior angel who can be seen while working, when she chooses, plus many loving, angelic people?)

It is highly satisfactory to read what each character we care about will be doing, as well as what became of all the trouble makers.

With most of the endeared characters remaining in Aspen Grove, it will be the right setting for the next story, Murder By Chocolate.

Only a talented writer so overflowing with Love as you are could create what may become a new story genre of Love Reverses Evil in realistic ways readers will cheer. Superb.

Thank you for the W O N D E R F U L review and kind and generous stars, my friend. I'm am deeply honored by your kind words, dear reviewer, and long-time fan of the Blind Detective.

    You are most welcome, Sal.
All your stories feel real because of the well-researched details in scenes and characters' background, speech, and behavior. Beyond that, you include respect when due, Occasional humor for welcome breaks in mood, faith when appropriate, romance and unconditional love at every opportunity, unexpected twists in plot to keep readers wondering what will happen next, and every chapter ends in a way that keeps the reader eager to read the next one.

Also, for FanStorians reading one chapter per week, each chapter begins with a reminder of what happened in the prior one, and a character list kept current with the status of each. In this book, the Epilogue has a paragraph for each character's status and plans for the future, including hints about the next book and who will be in it.

The spiritual aspect in this book sets it apart from all its predecessors.

The fact that the key characters and setting will be the same in the next implies that the spiritual aspect will remain, as most readers' reviews of this book indicate rising approval. I like this new genre.

You are now at the top of my list of storytellers, and you can be certain I'll keep reading. :))))) -- Mike

Hooray! A fitting ending for everyone! It's great that Sally and Jackson and King will remain and who knows what other mysteries or cold cases they might solve right there? Great job on this extra long novella! or is it a full novel? Keep up the great publishing!

This is exceptional, Sal!! I read it through, once, and will it again. I'm confused only because I never completed all at the beginning. I have to start again. You lost your daughter that way? I have trouble understanding but if that's a true story, I am distraught. I've protected children, ad a teacher, all of my life and have help report sexual abusers in children's homes. To have a child abducted has to be a ticket to hell. I honestly do not have the right words because I can't begin to imagine what all parents fear. Know that God has an Angel with you still. There is no blame only Love. Angels are given knowledge that mortals don't have. Angels know what happens or happened and an Angel is at peace immediately, because Angels are brought right to God's Loving Arms and are embraced by The Holy Spirit, eternally.

Friend, God Loves You and God Has Your Child Protected and At Peace, Eternally. ð??? XOXOs

Love, Alex :)xo

Aw, thank you for the lovely review and generous stars, my friend. This story is told in the voice of Detective Tommy Thompson, not mine. I am a cameo character in this book. It's crime fiction although there are some similarities to my real life.

The children I've lost have been a son by miscarriage in the second trimester. I fell on ice when I lived in New York (1979) and it caused me to hemorrhage internally. Then our family lost a granddaughter, Esther Grace, in 2013 to birth trauma. Your tender words of comfort are received for them though. God is good and has carried me through my losses as I depict Him in my stories and in the lives if the characters.

Jack and I have three sons, one beautiful daughter-in-law, three handsome grandsons, (a set of fraternal twins), and one equally beautiful granddaughter, Sophia. She was born 11 months after her sister, Esther Grace.

Bless you, dear Alex. Sal XOs
