This poem certainly conveys the depths of depression well. It is dark and cold in its description just as deep depression can feel. I, therefore, wish you all the best in the competition

Surround - alone - never to see the light again, I like the contrast of these lines. Where there is darkness, the light will creep eventually and take over. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

It is so difficult to describe Depression in a way others can understand what you're feeling. The Speaker her manages to do so, though the reader wonders what he hates. What you do especially well is SHOW how he's enveloped with darkness. Rod
