That was a funny story. I enjoyed reading it. The choice of character names suggested this couple was quite a bit older. It is also perhaps very close to real life in its tone, too. Nicely done, and congratulations on the contest win.

This is so sad when watching TV is more important than romance.
I think they should remove the television from their bedroom.

This ends up being hilarious. It elicits a raucous guffaw and gallows chuckle. I like how you give a short back story to set the reader up to believe something which in the end was not it at all. Very clever. A+ work

Too funny. This is what I love about "100 Word Flash" -- there must be a quick setup, a way to get the reader invested, and then "bam" ~ a super good twist at the end.
(Mabel should remove the darn batteries)
