this is the post I came back for... it takes a tad of finding your work when you are so prolific. So came back inside just now from... yes, you guessed it-- Venus rising. I sent loving healing out your way, hope you received it.
This tanka suite is a true favourite of mine among the many that reach a lofty height that enchants when read. It has echoes that seem to linger, make you go back and reread it a few times. Each time solidifying the read before. It's real good!
The suite works perfectly in tune with each tanka following... such elegance in form and composition.
As your presentation is always on point, all I can say is... perfect!
The first tanka brings the reader in with metaphor that is truly beautiful and superbly used in creating the intent.
The second was so different, yet held you gently while it tucked you in for the night, making it the perfect tie between the first and last tanka
And the last; the visual image you created is magnificent. I can see it in my mind's eye, thanks to me for being a star gazer... and this tanka is the one that allows the echo((((((((((((((((((((((((. Strong, yet very loving in blue.
Goddess Venus has a special quality, as all stars, planets and well... the universe, is introduced to us by her. She does reign!

Hello, James,
Thank you for your patience and persistence. I can imagine how hard it must be to look through my portfolio since I write 2 poems a day. I started several books to make it easier, so if you know it's a tanka, I have all my tankas in one book, at least the better ones.
I am happy you like it, I know you are an experienced sky gazer. This one is very special to me, I wrote it for a good friend.

As usual your language is perfectly chosen and this is a beautiful piece of writing with the usual gorgeous imagery. I did click on your links but I found all that a bit weird and scary. I'll just stick to whether your poetry speaks to me, regardless of form or 'lore'. And it does and that's all that matters.
