I don't understand how these folks voted. Without a brain as far as I could tell. They selected a story that was written in the form of a mystery but gave the whole thing away with the name of the story, the picture, and the mention of honey halfway through!
And you wrote a very lovely piece about friends and family that both young and old alike could read. Some people get thrown off by people putting religion into a story, but by calling your God a gardener you made it up to them to accept it as religion or not. I thought it was a lovely story, and any Christian Publishing house should be glad to have something this nice. Karen

Thank you for your encouragement. Maybe I will look at publishing at a Christian publisher in the future.

Bethany House is a good one for novels. In fact, a little known secret is most big publishing houses have a small Christian Line. Good Luck, Karen

This was a delightful piece of flash fiction, showing a cooperative spirit between God's animals, including humans. Your ending was perfect. Christ said we should forgive seventy times seven, but ll too seldom, do humans obey.

I'm guessing this is an allegory about Christ, but I can't quite work out the entire way it works, other than the forgiveness part. Is this sin visiting our lives? Or temptation? But then what is the Eagle. Harpies are from Greek myth, and are pretty evil. Hmm. Confused. Nice photo though.

Harpies are actual eagles who like to kill. Slothes are the enemy meerkats and small animals. It is about the nature of things and how the love of God is perfect in being always forgiving. It is about the whole cycle of temptation and those who resist or don?t , etc. It should be confusing. Hahaha
