Your verse is an excellent tribute to your home town. It is full of vivid detail of architecture, shops , countryside and I particularly like "Here a daily commute becomes communion..." There is so much emotion woven through these memories and not difficult to appreciate the love you have for this town. Ideally and for this contest, it might have been better to shorten it as it is very long and that could daunt potential reviewers. But the work and imagination that has gone into this verse makes it a very good entry nonetheless. Well done and good luck! Debbie

You make your hometown seem like Utopia to me, a place where wilderness buttresses settled places, and you definitely make the reader feel at home in your favorite restaurant or just about any place downtown. I truly enjoyed your tribute. Rod

This descriptive poem is beautiful and touching. It's inspiring, and dwells on nature and in community. It really lets the atmosphere of the town sink in. The strong diction choices, the alliteration, and the imagery make this a lovely poem.
