Agreed. My thoughts about regrets in the poem were not about people but more about other life choices like where we choose to live, career paths, etc.
I was attempting a sonnet. I find the rhythm difficult.

This poem, No Regrets, seems to calm the head of the window watcher who sees all the possibilities that are, were, or may be available if one could travel in all directions.

They see all possibilities and choose one. The problem is regret of those not taken. That was the problem the poem was highlighting.
