This would have gotten six stars if the cookbook picture hadn't been there giving away the story. Good strong writing. Keep up the good work. The picture is good, but it is a shame you can't use it at the end.

It will make it a stronger story.
When I put my little story 5 Cents a Glass out there, my first story, everyone and their sister gave me ideas,and editing things to do. It is a stronger story now. It is amazing that a little thing in the scheme of things can turn out to be a big thing.

A faithful cookbook is a friend for life and my friend gave me one when I was married and I still have it. A fine free verse, I think line nine needs some attention grammatically,

I love your choice of subject. My only cookbook is the Betty Crocker Cookbook for Boys and Girls, 1959ish, for show only, as I don't cook at all. Honestly, you poem is so engaging, I might have to take a look. Thanks for a great read,
