That great thing about the lotus flower is that it can grow from stagnant and "putrid" pond waters. Form the difficulties of life, like the storms that cut us, we can look forward to the beauty that will emerge after the storm.

Beautifully set out. The use of the grays complements your poem perfectly. And then the imagery, as usual, is perfect. Your choice of metaphor always works so well.

Hi MariVal,
This is a well illustrated poem that is is the color scheme of a storm which is a strong metaphor for the troubles of life. It ends with hope of rebirth.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great rest of your weekend.

This was such a moving poem. I went from the cold gray and rain to the disgusting putrid clog to the anticipation of the beautiful lotus flower. Beautifully written. Gretchen

Your range of talent is amazing. I just finished reading the sunflower poem and felt happy. Now, this poem is the complete opposite. WOW!! Thank you for sharing with us. You're so talented.

Stunning work Gypsy. I'm sure you meant to have it read as one long sentence. Beautiful imagery that takes the reader right in with you. I wish I had a sixer for you.
Tremendous work Gypsy!

Another fine poem, Gypsy----how well I remember walking along the raging torrent of the flooded river by our house on a sullen winter's day with the sleet gray water matching you mood.

This one had a harsher darker tone than the one I just reviewed. It showcases that your skills have a wide range.
I think your writings will outlive us all.
