I wonder what I'm reviewing here, Barbara? I decided to take it on because I don't think many reviewers would. I am reviewing something which is not really there?
'What I want you to know about me' sounds simple enough - but only if you're in the right frame of mind to be confessional - and even then, you need parameters, and also remember this is all conditional.
Will the girls really see this - or is it a theoretical blog that you wish they might see in certain circumstances?
At what age are they going (in theory) to read it? 12? 15? 18? Because you might want to 'reveal' different things to them at different ages. I suggest (off the top of my head) you have three very large sheets of paper and 'arrow' your audience viz. What I want to tell you when you're 12; next page - What I want to tell you when you're 15 . . . and so on - or you could do it from year to year. 'This year I want to tell you . . ' but have some targeting to aim at.
Like a 'future diary'?
That's my best shot, Barbara.

The girls will never see this. This is to let my FanStory friends know that I wasn't doing the actual letter this week because it fell flat. I am coming up with another one for next week. That's way it's label 'No letter today.'

You have to trust your process, I guess. My process is sort of like a sculptor carving a piece; a hew out a rough outline, and then through rewrites wittle it down and shape it and refine it into what I really want it to be. Everyone has a different process. Some people like to just write from the soul and feel that the first effort is closest to the creative energy of the moment. estory

Sometimes if you let your heart decide what you want to write about, it will be successful. However, you must be a cold hearted editor so that you do not allow sentiment to spoil the final product output.

I think writing is largely a mood thing, we are in the mood to write, or we're not, grandchildren should generally stir something, but I write much better when I'm moved, I that's why I write birthday poems, you'll think of something, well done, blessings Roy

It's understandable that you sometimes struggle with what you want to write for your granddaughters to read later. There are so many large cities in which you'd live in fear for your life, unfortunately. Smaller towns have more close-knit communities, and that's a good thing.
