Hi Jen,
This is a cute poem with a groan inspiring pun in the last line.
I like all boat, except leaky ones, of course.
Congrats on placing third in the contest,
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great day.

Thanks, my friend.

I like your wordplay with the "oar inspiring." You must live near the lake to be a rowing enthusiast. Or perhaps you find many things "awe-inspiring." Best wishes in the contest!

Thanks for the review Helen. I do live near a salt lake but that is just a coincidence. You couldn?t row boats on it. Take care. Jen.

"So, oar inspiring." Yes, this takes me back to those young boy days when I could spend an afternoon out on the water until sometimes I'd become so tired I could barely make it back to the dock. Thanks for sharing.

Hey, Jen, I'm fine, I have just been in Vegas attending the World Series of Poker for 16 or 18 days. I got so far behind that I was never going to catch up reading. I'm glad to be back, and always glad to find your post in my inbox. Hope you're staying cool in your part of the world, as not many are. :-)

Fun, lovely play on words here, Jen! Great humour contained in your 5-3-5 lune verse. A delight to read. Well done! And good luck in the contest! Debbie

This is a clever poem - I love the idea of oar inspiring - well done. The poem has the correct number of syllables per line for the Lune Poetry contest and reads well.
Good luck with it

Stahhhhhp it! This is kind of upROWrious. Love the groan, and I also love the picture you chose to be your co-conspirator in this perfectly looney lune. No way it's not going straight to the winner's circle. Good luck. xo

Dear Jenintorre,
Seven stars for the pun of the year! Sadly I haven't got seven, but I doubt that I will read anything funnier on FS for a long time. (If you check out my stuff - just for interest - you'll find a few others almost as excruciating.)
A beautiful picture - a perfect Lune count - but oh that joke. Divine!
