Yep! Exactly. My mantra -compliments of my mentor- is "Always. Choose. Joy." My favorite part of this wonderful poem you've written is:

Whenever a venture is due -
Question: right choice or just eschew?

It's how to succeed (or fail) with every single moment of one's life, isn't it? It's always YOUR CHOICE how this will turn out. Choose wisely.

I hope this makes it to the winner's circle for you, Mystery Writer. You've done a super good job here. xo

This is a good idea for a rhyming poem - well done. It rhymes well but you have used 'decisions' twice in the second stanza and I though eschew means to abstain from. This is a good poem nevertheless so good luck with it

Yes, eschew does mean abstain from. That is what is meant not making a choice to do anything rather than do the wrong thing.
Also, first line with decisions changed to: Whenever a venture is due.
Thanks for your read and suggestion re: decisions.

You are corrected eschew means to abstain from. What is meant in the poem is that it is better to abstain from a bad choice by not making a choice. I also changed first line in the second stanza to: Whenever venture is due. Thanks for your read and suggestions.
