This is another excellent chapter. The hook at the end is great. I want to keep reading. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

On to the next chapter...

Sorry, I missed this. Fortunately, I am loaded with Phoney Money so big rewards are not necessary. I am glad I caught this. I hope this lawyer is an undercover good guy and not just after big bucks.

Hi Sally,
I enjoyed the section about the reunion between Tammy and her mother & sister. And that she wants to focus on Christmas instead of all the details of her abduction. I had no trouble picturing the scene at the airport, or the walk across the field and the approaching sedan, horn beeping all the while.
I wonder what a tuna melt tastes like. Here's one of my favorite sandwiches, being a big-time seafood fan. First, I squeeze all the water out of a can of flaked white tuna. Then, I cut up a good tomato into small pieces, and mix it in with the tuna, adding a heaping tablespoon of mayonnaise. (Homemade mayo is best!) A generous sprinkling of pepper and a bit of fresh lemon juice will give it the final touch. It's dee-lishus! Winter or summer!
Then back to Fee, in captivity. I found it surprising that he'd be lusting after Sally...
"Yes, I'm acquainted with her," Fee said. "I wish it had been more... intimate."
He's got his 5th lawyer now, Lou Crenshaw, who gives him the lowdown on Sally Law...
"Apparently, she is the sole heiress of Andre Dupree."
And, another surprise, Fee has heard of the deceased artist...
Fee leaned forward in his seat, glued to every word. "As in--Louisiana artist Andre Dupree?"
But the ending seems to hint that Fee may try to have Sally killed... how and why?
"Fee studied her photo with interest. For he saw clearly--now--his ticket to ride: Detective Sally Law. His lust turned like an oiled hinge to murderous intent."
How will he maneuver such a crime? Lawyer Crenshaw?
Great chapter, Sally!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Two chapters in one week! I am super blessed, my friend. Your tuna salad qsoumds much like my own. For the melt : just scoop your tuna salad on buttered bread and top with shredded cheese you like and pan grill. I like cheddar or Havarti.

So glad you're enjoying the book as I come to close in August, God willing.
Sending you my best today as always,

So ... Fee has lustful thoughts for Sally. That's an interesting twist. As long as he stays in jail, she shouldn't have anything to worry about. But why do I think that his jail time isn't a sure thing? I'm happy to have a 6 star to award this. They're usually long gone by now.

I knew Elling was going to make some kind of attempt. That lawyer seemed pretty pathetic. Even if he can be bribed, I don't know what he can do. But of course he has to try.

Oh-oh. What could that evil mind be thinking? Fee could never lure anyone, especially the smart and happily-married Detective Law! The signs of your happy marriage is echoed in all the happy couples that find each other in your book!

Woah, Sally, that's quite an ending. What a great new chapter to your wonderful story.
I'm quite sure that unbelief is okay, but I still think it should not disbelief. A big hug. Ulla:)))

Fee is evil personified. What on earth does he have in mind to do against Sally? He has people everywhere who will do his bidding although they are being rounded up. Well written. The intrigue continues.
