Debi, I've read this book off and on for quite some time. It has always been a constant as I've drifted on this site. I'm honored to have read the last chapter in the saga. I was just thinking how I needed to go back and read it from the start.
The three writers you mentioned have meant as much to me through the years as they have you. Great people!
Take care, my friend,
Rhonda

Hi Rhonda,
Thank you for the six star rating, especially since this wasn't being prompted at the time you wrote this. I appreciate you going back to read it. What a nice thing to say, that you feel the need to go back and read it from the start. I time is precious so just the suggestion is an honor.
Have a wonderful day.

I had already planned to do it when I saw that it was the last chapter. I was sort of sad it was over, but glad I could read from start to finish!

Thank you WJD for these lovely creations of yours. I only caught up with them very recently, so may be a bit more generic with my review than they deserve.
It is BEAUTIFUL writing - seamless and professional - and I would be delighted to find this book in a London retail/bookshop.
Your characters, especially Piper, around whom the rest seem to revolve, are three dimensional and (now) personal to us. I always told my students that the very best fictional creations will be as real to your readers as their own family and friends - they will get inside their heads and never leave. (Charlie the Cat does that for me - I often 'talk' to him at any time of the day) - and so it is true here.
I am not making a detailed analysis of the text today - there are some minor typos (maybe only one) where you should use 'who' instead of 'that' in a clause.
Otherwise, perfection. Worth six - but five is all I have.
A fond farewell to the wonderful Piper and his friends and family.

Hello Debi,
All's well that ends well, and this story certainly has ended well, a peaceful scene that belies all the danger and intrigue that got us here. Nature has its own magic to offer.
And you leave Piper with a choice. I suspect most readers will be saying: "Stay!" Family has strong gravity.
Congratulations on a marvelous story.
And thank you for the generous mention in the notes, we'll miss Piper and friends. Let us know when the book comes out. :))
Best wishes to all.
Robert
What's that I hear. A flute? Such a beautiful melody...

Well done on this final chapter which ends so beautifully and on a note of which path Piper may well choose. The descriptive detail and imagery here are excellent and it becomes a seamless process for the reader to become immersed in this world of music and fantasy. Well done! Debbie

Hi Shari,
Thank you. What I need is a sibling like Walt Disney had, someone else to do the marketing.

I've only caught a few of your chapters, but you have done a good job of giving your characters different personalities and created a story with a lot of heart. Congratulations on arriving at a pleasant ending that works for all the characters.

Brava! Enjoyed your book from the point that I started following and I'm so glad you came back to finish it!!
I'm hoping that Piper will stay with his fae family and learn all that he should about his heritage. I'm also hoping Sheba can turn back to her original self but I'm sure she's pretty comfortable in her sleek and powerful form. Perhaps that's in Book Two?

Hi Helen,
I lived in Italy for sixteen months so I appreciate the female "Brava!"
I'm delighted you enjoyed the book.
What will Piper do? Who knows? Sheba? She's keeping her secret close for now.
Book Two? Maybe. Piper hasn't made it Hamelin yet. I'm flattered that you would suggest it.
Thank you for the six stars and the wonderful comments.
Have an amazing day.

Congrats on finishing! I would like to ask you in an interview about what drew you to fantasy. 💖

I'll blame Mother Goose and Fairy Tales.

Congratulations on finishing your novel. I have enjoyed reading it very much. I was very surprised that it ended with Piper's future being left so undecided, and hope this means there will be a further volume to the saga. kay

Hi Kay,
Thank you for the congratulations. I am delighted that you have enjoyed reading the story of Piper. At the beginning of the novel, Piper thinks he is a human and this was his journey to accept that he is actually an elemental instead. Futher volumes? Perhaps. Piper hasn't made it to Hamelin yet.
Thank you for the encourgement. Have a wonderful day.

Comment from Pam (respa)
Thanks for the notes, Debi. That was very thoughtful and meant a lot. It is hard to believe the story is at an end. Parts of it almost brought tears to my eyes because Piper has been through so much, and he is in a lovely place right now with people who love him and want him there, but they are not going to sway him one way or another.
Summerstorm does a good job explaining the options to Piper being careful not to influence his decision making. What he said made sense in that he could stay in the faerie realm for a while and get to know his parents better and also practice with MC. It would give Piper a chance to clear his head and decide what is best. Summerstorm also explained the difficulties of being a fae in the human world, but Piper already had a few inklings about that.
I thought this was very good advice: "Search your heart for the answer. It will guide you far better than your eyes or ears if you trust it." I think we can all make use of that advice. It is beautifully expressed.
I wonder if the ending is supposed to be a clue for Piper that he will be different in the real world. I don't know if the blue tint on his skin is permanent and would show up in the other world.
Words aren't sufficient to express how much I liked this story. Congratulations to you for completing it; I know it wasn't always easy. I don't want to finish typing because this has been a wonderful journey. But who knows what might happen later on. Anything is possible. Thank you for this story and the journey you took us on. Imagination is a beautiful thing.

Hi Pam,
You are welcome for the notes. Your support means so much to me. I am delighted you have enjoyed the story and even took the time to reach out and tell me finish it.
Thank you for the detailed analysis and for citing the statement about searching your heart for the answer. Redd-Leif said it earlier in the book and I felt it was worth repeating.
The ending could be interpreted the way you indicate. Life in the human realm will be different for him now. I also wanted him to finally admit that he is elemental and not human, though that is the world he knows.
Thank you for the congrats. Now, I am the one all teary-eyed.
Thank you for the six stars and all the super support!!!

You are very welcome and deserving of the review, stars, and support. We have loved this story, and we know you've been through a lot to get to the end, but you did it!!! Now you have a book to think about😊😊
-
A book? You've done that, but I never had. I'd have tons of questions.
-
Actually I have my own personal editor. I just supply the information. I thought you had a book in mind. When you have chance, log on to kdp with your Amazon account. They outline steps, have tutorials, etc. The most fun is making the cover.
-
First, I'll have to set up an Amazon account. Am I the only one in the world that doesn't have one? It makes it easy to spot those scams that say my Amazon account has a problem. LOL
-
I may do a book. I've been toying with the idea.
-
Well, at least you know the first step, if you want to do it. You could always go with a high priced publishing house!!! You made me laugh, so that is a good thing😊

Keep us posted and we'll give you a few tips.
