I like the way you write from the point of view of a woman. It shows empathy and imagination. You enter very feelingly into the emotions of an abandoned wife.

This is well-done, Mark. You capture the inhumanity of divorce with your use of pronouns. You make it impersonal as though feelings are not involved. You support that image with thoughts of selling the ring.
Having said all of that, you still manage to create the cruelty of divorce. "She" is pondering. There were promises involved.
Excellent poem. I would not change a word.
