Angelo is really in a tight spot. I sure hope Ben is listening carefully so he doesn't make a mistake like he did in Colorado and got himself shot. Angelo probably can't rise from the dead like Ben did.

I'm a bit intrigued by this. As a non believer, I have to admire you for your faith. But why is it that humans have to believe in some kind of divinity is really beyond me. What is there to be so afraid of? One day we're here and then we die. Just like any living thing. And when we're gone, we become a fertilizer for the soil. All best, Ulla:)))

Ben is asked how God talks to him, and judging by the answers I can verify that it's true, God talks in many, sometimes loudly, (in the beginning, like that mostly) but these days an impression, an urge, confirmed by signs and these days in my writing, beautifully written Wayn, well done, blessings Roy

Well done

An interesting chapter, but I think those verses may be a bit out of context, in terms of their relevance for Tony, but that's okay. I feel Angelo has got himself a bit cornered, but it was right to come to Ben for help, advice and prayer. It will be interesting to see what happens next! Those murderous gangs will not let him go easily. Well written.

Thank you for your very nice review.
The scriptures were not meant for doctrine.

Very good chapter, Wayne. I liked Ben's explanation to Tony of how God talks to people. I also liked hearing about Angelo's conundrum. Hmm, seems like a great opportunity to go undercover and help bring down the whole Syndicate. Lots of possibilities here. Can't wait to see what he does. - Jim

Thank you. Maybe we should collaborate.
Except it would be a rewrite since I'm on chapter 65.

Oh, I'd forgotten Angelo from an earlier chapter as the "tough" who Ben had converted. You got him involved with the syndicate so seamlessly. And the big lesson he learned from Ben was to live for the day and listen to the voice within or possibly from without. Now I don't believe the historical Diamond Jim got converted, so I'll wait to see where you take me.

Well, I spent a lot of time mulling over the context of the verse you quoted. Hubby and I discussed it to some length - we decided that it's all about the context of authority while praying and prophesying in the church.
But I really liked how you started the conversation about hearing God's voice in prayer and in His Word while talking to Tony, and immediately you show a situation where Ben applies why he just instructed to how he seeks the Lord for Angelo's situation of the corrupt police force. You make this plot more about what God is doing than what Ben is doing.

Thank you.
And I believe you are right. Paul was not setting universal, religious standards.
He was far more interested in promoting and teaching of a brand new religious concept - the Son of the One God redeeming souls, than upending the culture of society.

I'm sure in Heaven, we'll have lots of questions for Paul. "What did you mean by...?" And the Jews had long hair like Absalom did, and the Nazirites. It was more a Greek thing for men to have short hair...

Novels should never be linear affairs, but it's a bit hard when you throw a curve ball in this serial reading situation. I am still more in favour of the 'story so far intro' than the 'end of the last chapter', but that's just me. Hoping to keep this in mind until the next relevant chapter, kay

Thank you for your review. Some chapters may be a bit more intense than others.

Ben's story is uplifting for me. This is another excellent chapter. Ben's faith is a good example for all of us. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

The relationship is growing so strongly between these two and it remains thoroughly interesting to read. Well done.
