AS with most things in life, the internet has its share of positive and negatives. And just when we are starting to lean toward a positive opinion, something happens to destroy our confidence. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Good morning, Barbara ~
I read once where Stephen King said he'd still be re-editing Carrie if the publisher hadn't made him stop. lol. I guess we're all like that to one degree or another.
Not to be hurtful, but I wasn't as impressed with this letter. I realize you're bound by word count but it felt almost like the list you shared in your images. Take my suggestion for what it's worth (and that's not a lot!) but I think I'd shorten the list and make it more personal. How has the internet affected YOUR family or experience? If it were my letter (and it's NOT) I'd tell about my experience here on FS or on UpWork, where I used to freelance. Or mention someone I've met online (even if it's not physical), Your grands are going to know all the facts that you listed. I'd want this to be more personal. And that's just me, of course.
I like the idea of additional letters to give more info in the future. Is this a bound book that you're filling in?
Blessings,
Deb

I am going to do that with the additional letters after I finish these twelve. Thank you for the kind review.

First, I think it is so wonderful that you wrote this letter to your grand daughters... You really should write more....
Also, I to read and revise my writings all the time...seems I am never happy with what I write...
As a water colour artist I always need to know when to stop or I could ruin a good painting...
The trick is knowing when to stop... the same thing goes for writing...

Hi barbara,
Another nice little slice of history and a life lesson you've scripted here. I'm not a huge fam of the internet. I live somewhere internet isn't great on purpose! lol
I think I use about five websites and that's it. I still read paper books and use DVDs. I'm a physical sort of person! lol
All the best

I've decided to publish only paperback books. I prefer to hold something in my hand. I think there's a few of us still out there. Thank you for the kind review.

I feel two worst negative impact are cyber crime and misinformation. There is an information overload now and mostly they are confusing... Internet often would lead to psychological breakdown...

Since you list more than one impact, shouldn't "positive impact" and "negative impact" be plural?
Believe "social network" should be too.
Would also question "life" since "people" is plural. Should "life" not be?
Due to circumstances, not been on FanStory much lately. Perhaps in the near future?

I have missed you, but you continue to be in my prayers. You are so right and I will get on those mistakes. I'm surprised nobody else caught them. I appreciate the help.

Appreciate your concern. Trying to resolve a matter between Tom, the Contest Entry Committee, and myself involving my character Cody Schroder. Until that gets settled have little desire to continue on site. So, not sure what the final result will be.

This is very good advice for your granddaughters. I guess and grandmother is supposed to share her wisdom with her granddaughters. My grandmother certainly did. I'm afraid I've not offered mine a lot of advice.

The truth was never so precise as it was in your text. The Internet has had an impact on our lives, decreasing in-person interaction, particularly among the younger generation who prefer text messaging to face-to-face conversations..

The internet certainly has opened up a can of worms that equals giving everyone permission to carry a gun. Now, instead of getting mad and cooling off, before telling someone off and saying something you can't take back, people launch a poison pen post slashing and dashing another's soul, while telling the world your business, in permanent marker. Not to forget guns:
"I don't like this or that."
"Then I will punch you in the nose."
"Fine. I will shoot you dead."

Oh balance. That is very good! I think this was a solid and important lesson. Hopefully they listen because we have an entire generation that is addicted.
Thanks for sharing these. I'm enjoying them!

Thank you for the support. My son and his wife already supervise their TV time and shows. I'm pretty sure they'll supervise the Internet, but that's no guarantee.
