I really like that you crafted this into a loop poem! I also love that you rhymed and almost created a bit of a story, it feels a bit like a Chinese proverb or something. Great job!

I thought that this was a very accomplished acrostic, with excellent rhymes, perfect scansion, a touch of alliteration and a coherent narrative. I really couldn't expect more. Well done.

I loved your acrostic, and I have a few small sculptures carved out of local stone where i've come across them on all my travels. All the best of luck in the contest. Ulla:)

This acrostic poem, STONES, has the proper formatting and gives me the great poetic definition of rock as being the ultimate "summary of force and time". Neat.

Omg i saw the title and illustration. Mesmerizing. My mother, sisters and I collect them. This is a great little poem. I have stones from every state I've visited or lived in.
...i Like the bookend style beginning/ending

nicely done rhyming acrostic poem about stones - how nature makes them and how people end up using the stones that nature provides. I like the repetition of the last line.

I love gems, rocks, , minerals and fossils - all elements formed from the earth through time and pressure. Your acrostic highlighted the uniqueness of each beautifully. Well done!

This is well-written and clever as well. The poetry of stones in an acrostic style is done in an excellent way so that you tell a whole story in a brief piece. I loved the rhymes of force and quartz.
They are well chosen and show the reader how great a poet you really are.
Good luck with the acrostic poetry contest!

Nice ode to gemstones. Love that powerful closing line: summary of force and time. Good flow and bonus rhyming. I particularly applaud the slant rhyme of force and quartz. Inventive! And I love how the first and last lines echo in a special symmetry too.

Superb medley of T sounds in this line:

Travertine to crystal quartz
And this too:
Nurtured at a steady pace

As an empath and healer, I've always loved the energy of crystals.

Nice poem

Warmly, rd

There are so many stones shaped, and graduate to what they become over many years, we have opals here in profusion, formed from silica and trapped in sandstone over time. Beautifully written my friend, good job, this acrostic, good luck, Roy
