I like the personification of this poem. Yes. A bird with a broken wing will not go anywhere. It's start for a wonderful relationship. Helping each other will establish an unbroken bond.

This begs for a back story. Your poem drew me in. I want to know what is going through his mind while he stares off. I want to know what has happened to him, either physically or emotionally that she needs to heal. Great job on this. Beautiful words and imagery. Gretchen

This was a fantastic tanka, Gypsy. I loved the dual pictures because they showed that the loneliness in the eyes. They also showed the fact that there was also a broken wing. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!
