Love the poem - maybe not the philosophy - well not all of it. Why do I say that? "Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can neither understand it or overcome it . . " which is, admittedly a paraphrase of John's Gospel - in which Jesus declares Himself to be 'The Light of the World." In Austria, my 'second home', there is a major, government sponsored charity called 'Licht ins Dunkel' (Light into the Darkness) which amalgamates the work of hundreds of smaller charities - and in particular those caring for damaged children. There is a lot of light available for those in need, all over the world.
My response to your poem is to agree wholeheartedly that 'the rot has set in to our societies' - all your criticisms in the footnotes are true - but the light not only shows up the rot - it is a power in itself - aiding us to rip out the rot, pull down the useless structures and rebuild a better, cleaner, fairer world.
The line 'equine moon trotting' is very original, and worth a six - it's a lovely image - but I will demolish your rotten room, if you don't mind.
This is my last six. I knew it would find a worthy home some time today.

A fascinating two lines Lea. I'm so impressed with how you have managed to say so much in such a little space. I like the imagistic link of 'equine' and 'trotting', although I'm not entirely sure why the moon is equine? Great picture too.

The spots on the moon remind me of a horse type called an appaloosa. It is the dark and light contrast of the moon, which is similar to the dark and light contrast of the appaloosa. Thank you again for your fine review. I'm so happy you like it. I'm always happy to receive your reviews. And your comments are always important to me. Thank you again and have a great day!

Hi Lea,
I read this in conjunction with your jisei poem.
A suitable, effective pairing. With brevity you've achieved a lot, my friend. Great choice of art. I always like the drama and tension that black and white offers.

Your metaphor of the moon trotting like horses made me smile Lea, not sure what the dripping room rotting means here, I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x

We need more and more of these passionate words from author's of your strong character and care . The metaphor is painful to accept, yet it is so. Yes!
