Thank you for this lovely eulogy for this beautiful dancer. I liked the " sails
of my psyche," and the invoking of the sense of taste in " bitter taste of loss from the goblet of the ages."

To provide a tribute of the gifts of one departed, the writer surely would have have the first hand knowledge to the grace and beauty of the artist who's body was well tuned as to make motion to music a treat to ones soul, Great writing of verse in free style.

I was in contact with the
MADD chapter in Raleigh, NC
where this horrible crime
took place. What an unspeakable tragedy. I saw
photos of Elena, such a
lovely ballerina. Heartbreaking. As a child, I
was a dancer, and my daughter was too. We still
mourn for her. Thank you

What a nice way of memorializing Elena. Your poem is filled with the anguish someone experiences when they lose someone suddenly and in a way that should have been preventable.
