What an interesting tanka, Gypsy. I loved the pictures of the 'bleeding hearts'. Your words said it all and it was very well done, then greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Your poem reminded me of the children song, 'Laugh Kookaburra, Laugh'. I spent too much time with young children. LOL Once again, you presented us with a wonderful package. The Asian bleeding-heart flowers are gorgeous.

I didn't say it was winter. It's June rain and summer breeze, but in any case kookaburras are not migratory. They occupy the same territory year-round and they do okay in the cold.

I like your tanks poem- good picture presentation- your poem flows well- is descriptive - with good metaphors - suggest "your laughter " makes more sense to me" see what you think- good Job - AP

I'm thinking what laughter must taste like. I guess it's the taste of joy and mirth. I like your pivotal line that takes us from the summer rains to enjoying laughter with the loved one.
