I am wanting more information on this searing touch. LOL My husband uses Old Spice so I am very familiar with the scent. You have hit the major senses with this lovely poem. Thank you for sharing.

This was a great tanka, Gypsy. It was a fantastic tanka and the pictures were inspirational. Your words spoke of old spice scents and love. Of missing the love you spent so much on. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

okay... now i'm smelling old spice... LOL!
it has such a distinct smell

a great tanka with excellent imagery
the two pics kinda look the same (just one slightly larger)

    yes, I looked for similar pictures for presentation effect, the two pics blend into one with the poem in the middle.

You describe this loneliness in so many ways while the night is "drenched in loneliness" the absence of the beloved's touch and the scent of his Old Spice cologne accentuates the loneliness all the more.
