I like the imagery used in your poem. I think your poem really fits the theme for the contest. I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

I know exactly how you feel as we are experiencing the same weather at the moment. Cold, grey and wet! This poem is well written and flows well. The rhyming is also good and it is amusing in bemoaning the loss of spring at such an early time of year. I wish you luck in the competition

Yes this poem portrays an interesting angle on the theme of Spring -depending on where we reside on planet earth we may not notice the season at all-

This is fun and humorous and equally fitting for children as well as adults. We've learnt of course that seasons aren't now that clearly defined and I enjoyed your sense of realism on the subject. Good flow and sound rhyming pattern here. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

April brings the showers and May is usually sunny and we have been lucky with the weather. You have concentrated your spring write on your recent experience of rain, I hope the weather improves for you and good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

what I meant to imply was, this year was a great Spring, as usually we are so hot, we don't have much Spring. Rain, here, is always welcome. Thanks for reading, Dolly and for your comments. Glad you had a good one, too.

well, thank you, ma'am! I appreciate that!

You have written words to those of us who take springtime weather for granted. When it is unexpected, it is appreciated (and even celebrated through poetry) and your words help us see that.

thank you, Ginda! and might I say, lucky you! This year we had a glorious Spring and we did indeed, enjoy it. Each day we expected it to get high 80s and it never did. I would love it every year!
