This is another well written chapter in your book, and it was a pleasure to listen to. I am listening to it in the middle of the night because I'm having trouble sleeping tonight. Patricia.

I found Sally remarks to Farnsworth just as awesome as I did last week. I love how she said I can see you very clearly. Another fantastic chapter. I love Betty and Hank falling in love, and will probably be married. I am a lover of a good love story so it doesn't get much better than all of them in this story.. I thought your authors notes were very interesting . As far as Fee goes I hope he is going to be still be in jail next week and that he doesn't find a way out.
I even found it exciting that Sally and Jackson and the team staying on indefinitely. . I think you should just keep this going lol same people and just
keep adding more criminals and more storylines, as I have come to enjoy these people so much. I feel like I know them all . Of course that doesn't count for FEE. Another wonderful chapter and I'm excited to see how it goes next week. Thank you for making my week. Awesome job detective.

Thank you for the wonderful review, my sweet friend! I'm so glad you enjoyed it all and thought it six worthy. I wanted to work for the FBI in forensics/fingerprinting. My mom said, absolutely, unequivocally no!

So now I'm happily married and write about solving crimes in my books. Of course we must a romance or two... or three!

I always feel like a queen after reading your kind reviews. Thank you, again, Debi dear. It means the world to me to have you as a fan AND friend!

    Love and blessings always,
    The Blind Detective XOs!

This is another splendid chapter and a turning point.

In Section One, Captain Hank Riley realizes he should reveal his love for Betty Jo Jenkins before it is too late, and she reveals she had been waiting many years for him to admit his long-term love for her. It seems there will be a third marriage in this book. :))

In Section Two, Chase Levins, Willa, and Tommy are preparing for Fee's arraignment to be followed by their arrest of his attorney, Kenneth Farnsworth, for wire fraud and conspiracy -- just enough to hold him while they uncover reasons for many additional charges.

Sally arrives with King and reveals that, earlier in the day, Captain Riley had invited her to stay as a detective and criminal profiler; and Jean-Baptiste, Jackson, and King would be part of the package. Then Doc Stuart arrives with Jackson and Lt Jean-Baptiste and reveals the evidence proving Fee killed Victoria Elling, Simon's mother, who happened to be pregnant with another child of Fee. That's enough to assure Fee will not be allowed bail before his trial.

In Section Three, Fee's lengthy arraignment is well presented in script-like manner, as it is mostly dialog. When the judge explains her decision not to allow bail, Fee calls that an outrage, so she adds a contempt charge to the long list on record against him. Then the judge calls Farnsworth into her chambers, with Detectives Tommy and Willa Thompson, and Detective Sally Law included. That assures Farnsworth can't sneak away.

Superb progress we readers find satisfying, without forgetting that there is much more to fully unravel in this complex story.

Thank you for your explanatory notes too.

You are most welcome, Sal. Yes, it is a bit complex; but I have no trouble with complexity, and it certainly is engaging. :)) -- Mike

Another wedding coming up? Fee gas quite a few charges against him. He won't be able to get out of all that. Locked up is the best place for him to be. Well done.

I don't think his not guilty pleas will do him much good, will they? There's more than enough evidence against him, and against his sleazy lawyer too! Glad Hank and Betty Jo finally came to their senses. I'm guessing there will be another wedding soon?

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and kind compliments. So glad you enjoyed it and the love scene. You?ll have to wait and see about the wedding. Knowing I?m a hopeless romantic, most likely. Blessings.

This is an interesting part of the story. I've missed a few chapters and it seems Fee was up to no good constantly. He even murdered his own pregnant wife? Also Captain Hank and Betty Jo are in love. Fee probably doesn't know what the word love means.

This is another excellent chapter. You have moved the story along nicely. Things went smoothly in the courtroom. I wonder what is around the next corner. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

A love that causes you to cry is a pretty powerful love.

This is a good news/bad news chapter. Sally making the move to Aspen is good news. Victoria Elling's dead baby is sad news, as is her death at
Fitzgerald's hands.

Getting into the meaty parts now and I can't wait to hear what the judge has to say in chambers!

See you next week!

Pam

Sal, I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling this bad. Three weeks in bed is a long time, even if it is Covid. Have you tested? I sure hope you get to feeling better soon!

Hooray! No bail for Elling and Farnsworth will also be charged soon. I like how you used a script-like form for that court proceedings. And how perfect that another romance is in full bloom with Hank and Betty Jo. And now Tommy has the benefit of Sally to remain in town to keep solving mysteries! Enjoyed the progress in this chapter!

Comments:
I was a little confused because right after "He had Betty Jo in his arms," and next she's bounding out of the house.

Tears drenched her once again. (Was this Hank's tears?)

Thank you for the lovely review and generous stars. I forget it's been an entire week since the details of chapter 28, so no worries.

    From Chapter 28--

Betty's big brown eyes filled with tears.

The captain took off his jacket, badge, and gun before he approached her. "Come here," he said sofly. He opened his arms and invited her in, then held her close.

This is what I am continuing from. It hard to read a book s chapter a week. Even I have to back up and read it several times. I hope this helps.

Sending you my best today as always,
    Sal XOs
