Hi Sally,
I'm thinking these folks should have all been hitched at the same time. First there was Tommy and Willa. Then, Simon and Candace are ready to take the plunge into matrimony. Now we find out that Hank Riley & Betty Jo Jenkins are getting in line, too! Holy Cow!
I wish I had a sixer left. I enjoyed reading all those charges against Fitzy, but I see I'll have to wait for the next chapter to hear about his lawyer's charges.
Fee's only chance at freedom is to escape... somehow. Has Kenneth Farnsworth made any arrangements for freeing FEE? I wonder. He might need someone to help him escape pretty soon, too.
Never heard of "Nolo contendere". So many charges against Elling, what could possibly be his defense?
It surprises me that there are no other witches involved besides FEE in the Aspen Grove area who need to be rounded up. But maybe that will come out in the trial (assuming that Fitzy doesn't escape). Maybe he'll use that as a plea bargain to reduce his sentence.
Catching up, but I'll get there!
Nicely penned, as always, Sally!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Their relationship is delightful. Can he ask her to marry him so they can be together with new IDs. The metaphors are fun. Nice choice of onomatopoetic words. The mood is sizzling...we'll definitely be back. This very accurate for court proceedings. Good job.

VIRTUAL SIX STARS!

Sal, first I must tell you I met Ronda! She gave me a kind and generous review. I was so proud that, when she mentioned me to you, I was able to say that you are already my good friend! xx

Now my review. EXCEPTIONAL writing and particularly your descriptions and dialogue. CONGRATULATIONS for your writing but also for your invitation to stay on as a Detective there.

Now, my confession: I am so afraid of horror stories, murders, etc that I have attempted but chickened out of reading them until now. It seemed the murder was over soi tip toed in. Ha Ha

If the entire story is more mystery than gore, I'll start from the beginning. I didn't know how to tell you before. I'm a chicken. I read, "In Cold Blood," in high school and that was the last murder thing I read.

If your story is more like the show, Murder She Wrote, that's my jam as the kids' say. I'm decades behind so I'm hoping the phrase has come back around. Ha

I was so happy to hear your name in a review I received. I felt like, "I KNOW SALLY! SHE'S MY GOOD FRIEND!" I couldn't write that fast enough. Hey, your eyesight may be weak but your friendships are strong because your heart is GOOD!

love Alex xoxos

Thank you for the lovely review, beautiful friend. How kind you are to read my book chapter and catch up with me. This is seventh novella on FanStory. Rhonda is such a sweetheart! How kind she is to mention me. She is a big fan of my Audible books.

I love this genre because I almost went into forensic fingerprinting as a career. My mother said absolutely, unequivocally no. She was wise to intervene and bring me to my senses. But I can write about it.

Now I'm happily married these 48 years with three grown sons, a daughter-in-love, and five beautiful grands. I'm semi-retired from my company and live the life of a blind writer. I so enjoy FanStory and write in three genres. I became a recognized writer here in December of 2020.

Thank you again for stopping by. I limit the bloody stuff and keep it clean of language and my romantic scenes are tasteful and virtuous. I'm a Christian so the Lord is looking.

Sending you my best today as always,
    Sal XOs

Aww. Thank you, Sal! I will read more! I am Christian too. I have a couple things coming up that mean a lot to me. I'm going to try chapters to get myself started. Something funny is coming out in a couple hours or less. Frew standing.no contest Hint It's kind of like a craquel not sequel. :)) lol xx Alex

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LONG MARRIAGE! GOD BLESS!

also I am so mucha follower of Jesus if God. i am a liberal Minded person though. I'm praying some of my opinions of topics i want to write about won't cause me to loss friends heere. My writings are mostly for kidd snd teens or non fiction adult books for teachers etc ideas etc

One commentary I'm writing soon goes with kids teen story. Its a response to memories of 2 kids thay killed themselves when I taught in a middle school. The kids were gay didn't know each other a copy cat hing it wss sad

I was an an advisor teacher counselor in a high school too and I kept many of Gods Children alive by validating their feelings and senses of self. Jesus did not reach out to people who were doing just fine He met each person who needed him.

I wanted to tell you in advance not graphic novels a cartoon actually its cute. I hope you see that we can both truly love and uphold God but possibly we wont agree on everything. The non fiction part specifically explaibs what kids go through and the story book will be an authors note link and free standing story after. im proud of it all so far. :))

Excellent chapter. I was away for a bit and had to go back and read Chapter 28--didn't want to miss anything! I can hardly wait for the next chapter. These cliff-hangers are stressful!

Now, Sally, please don't be angry with me. But I squandered all my sixes, making a major miscalculation. I'm so very sorry. I will make sure it won't happen again because your work so deserves it. This not being an exception. I loved it and it's moving forward at pace. A big hug, Ulla xcx

Sweet friend, I would never be angry with you. You have been more than gracious and kind to me for years! I know how easy it it is to lose track of the precious sixes. I have done it many times! That you love my books is more than a six pack. Thank you for stopping by for my latest chapter. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
    Love and blessings always,

This was a great read. Is Nolo Contenderer same as "Not Guilty?" Wondering why they used different terms. Checking the Judge's Spanish I guess, hehe. I presume we are nearing the end. I asked before was Simon's GrandDad as much a villain as Fee? No spags.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and kind stars. Both mean so much to me. I put the meaning of nolo contendere in my authors notes when I posted this. I guess you missed it but that?s OK. I?ll check it again. Nolo contendere is a Latin term. and it implies that the accused?s guilt will be left up to the court upon examination. Sending you my very best today as always.

Great opening line to this chapter Sally with Hank threatening to arrest himself.
And a lovely romantic scene with Betty Jo. What a long list of charges and HE is outraged. Great chapter Sally with plenty of diverse action. Well done.
Cheers

Wow, another love interest. I think everyone must be paired up. So glad FEE is in custody now, and faces multiple charges. Thanks for the legal information in your notes. The court scene is well written, and I could picture myself there. Blessings. Carol

Definitely a page turner, Sally! Just as we think the characters are safely out of harm's way, you release another deadly situation. I love to watch your cat and mouse games unfold.

Your plot is definitely unique and intriguing, and I'm excited to be a part of the journey.

Much love,
Rhonda

XO, Sally. I?m trying to be on here more consistently. I had started a new job where I was teaching 5 different subjects. I was overwhelmed, but am out for the summer.

Trust all is well with you, my friend!
