This is a cute Minute poem. You've written the form well, and used fun rhymes throughout. I like the peek-a-boo, and the call for the sun to come out and play. Sorry you didn't have sun while at the beach. Blessings. Carol

Thank you for introducing me to the minute form of poetry. This is such a cheerful example that you have composed. It is playful and sweet, just right for children and adults, but I can see this especially as a delightful children's book.

The minute form is ideal when used, as here, for a poem listing the vagaries of the sun when he is in competition with the scudding clouds. I liked the expression 'a peppered sky's particularly.

I'll swap a hot day for your cold day at the beach. How cute is this Minute poem. I especially like the part of the sun playing with you. It won't be long until it comes out in full force and we will be complaining about the head.

I like the sun via picture, camera, definitely it makes you smile.
It may not be bad if the sun comes and goes. It gets too hot if it stays too long. The grass also needs some water instead of the all the time.
This is a very refreshing poem making people positive and energetic. Thanks for sharing.

Melissa,
I really like your minute poem.
The sun is the center of spring and summer; and your images of even skies without sun are very vivid.
Nice poem.
Good luck .
