As the cycle continues the tree is a symbol of long life and endurance, faith and hope, and the tree's tenacious thirst to grow tall and combat the elements is why we admire them so much, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Your tree images or presentation looks like reflections of sparkling glitter falling onto the tree branches. Your poem writing is very lovely and impressive. Good luck in the poem contest.

not sure which way is best, they both sound a little trippy LOL
summer's night breeze
summer night's breeze
then again, that could be just me...

other than that, like the image of ashes drifting over a tree...

thank you for sharing

I like this because it makes me think of ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The way life circles around. Keeping someone's memory alive by spreading the ashes of a loved one on a favorite place. I've even heard of people putting ashes around the root ball of a tree or bush. Very evocative. Gretchen

Yes, that's what the haiku is about. When I die my ashes will be spread over the ocean...like you say... its the circle of life.

Hi Gypsy Queen,
for me this thought is more than magic. I'd love to believe once our souls are free from its physical restraints we can fly and slip between and over every dimension and 'drizzle' over all life.

Yes MariVal, a truly stunning Haiku.
A stellar presentation, visually and in composition.

Every criteria for this format was reached at the highest standard. It resonated very deeply and left me pondering-lingering in between the air that surrounds us all.
The connection is seamless.

Yes, Stunning!

With our thoughts we create...
avenues of enlightenment.

Warmest regards,
James.

Thank you, James, your kind words touched my heart. Believe it or not, I never sit too long with my poems. They are completely intuitive and straight from the heart. Once a visual idea comes from my heart I pour it on paper. If I try to plan and duel too long on a poem it's ruined. I don't know where they come from but it's awesome when reviewers say what the poem means to them and it's exactly what I meant.

I get whole lines, sometimes I continue with that way of thinking and build around them... sometimes, like you it pours out and onto a page. One thing for me though I've always got to see what the hell I've written, tydy it up, rearrange things, read it again, change something else, read it again... make sure my spelling doesn't let me down, read it one more time... did I say one more time? You get the gist... I never question anyone on their ability to create, I just find it a real privilege when I have the opportunity to to connect to someone else's thoughts and words... yes, especially the visual ones that pour from the heart.

I do revise for typos and assonnance but with short poems that's easy, and I practice a lot, 2 posts a day, 7 days a week. With long free verse and haibun it takes me longer. The short forms are so visual... you know. Anyway, it sounds like I'm bragging but I'm not. LoL haha

Have a wonderful weekend in your own paradise and beautiful Eve.

I'll do my best... and, you're not bragging, the thing I love... you tell it how it is and should always remain unapologetic for being so.
Hope your weekend brings the magic in spades... and by that, I don't mean gardening, or burying someone... smile(((((((((((.

Hehehe... did you here this joke, "a friend helps you move out the furniture, your best friend helps you move the dead bodies."
reply by Jumbo J on 20-May-2023
    Now that's a best friend!
Can I employ someone for you... they're trustworthy, I've used them before due to me being advised not to lift dead weights. Smile(((((((((((((((.

dead weights ... hahaha I love a little humor, it's good for the soul. Good night, James, may you have a wonderful day. It's nighttime here.

This is a beautifully done haiku for the writing. I enjoyed it very much, and you have presented it in such a beautiful manner. I wish you the very best with all of your writing. Patricia
