It's a cute haiku. It follows the 5-7-5 syllable format. The second line feels weird. I've never heard the phrase "marched house" before, I guess. I like the "single line" part, because that is indeed what ants do, and it paints the picture. But maybe... making it more like soldiers, it would be "single file." And if you wanted to deepen the soldier analogy, you could say "stake."

Nice haiku! I like when poems reveal nature and people living around it- like you mentioned it's also a season for newborn lambs, etc.
The format and the syllable count conform to the haiku. Good job! Good luck with the contest

Is a mow day, a reference to mowing the grass? Just wondering, these ants know how to strip all the excess shoots as nature makes good use of everything, I enjoyed your write, love Dolly x
