Very nice picture. Haiku is hard to do. I have done it a couple of times. In fact, It was the first thing I ever did here, "Remittance" took me a while to write. Until then all I knew about poetry was limericks, free verse, and sonnets. I am learning so much here.
Good writing. Karen

Hi Poet, a very creative haiku
with lovely imagery of a
rose and it's petals. The photo
also enhances the subject.
My very best wishes for the

It's hard to pinpoint what I like best about this Haiku. I think it is the sensuality of the image you offer us. I an hear the rain, and like the rose petals, I attend.

What is it about a rose that is so fragile and beautiful. The rose petals are so tenderly created. If you touch a rose, they can gently fall off and leave markings on the petals. Your image is gorgeous, poem as well.

Excellent entry for the Haiku Poem writing prompt contest. It's nice to see a poet's well constructed haiku, you understand the form, rules, and put it all together so well.
I like the presentation too. Concrete images easy to visualize.
Good syllables count and connection between lines.
Good luck in the contest.

You did a great job with your contest entry, Mystery
Author. I liked everything about its presentation. The
picture was perfect, and the black background framed
it well. The font color was a great choice. I liked the
alliteration of the letter r. Great job adhering to haiku
rules.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Good haiku, depicting one of nature's most beautiful element: rain. Of course, gentle rain as you point out! Nourishes and beautifies. Without it, the gorgeous red rose would never be that lovely.
Good luck with the contest!!

Lovely evocative 5-7-5 haiku personifying raindrops and rose in nature's awakening moment where both come together in harmony. Well done and thanks for sharing. Good luck! Debbie
