Hopefully, this isn't a foreshadowing of things to come. Many a reader will identify...and coffee of all things...bwaaa: "Unfortunately, the coffee came first, then the Styrofoam cup followed." the introduction to a new mystery arising: ""I'm with Doc Stuart and Lieutenant Jean-Baptiste. Samson has discovered a body near the fishing cabin" A very nice ceremony.

Thank you for the lovely review and compliments. I was a romance writer before I turned my attention to crime mystery. I love to combine the two. Sending you my best today as always, dear Valda.

Hi Sally,
A couple of songs came to mind as I read through this chapter. First tune was "Love is in the Air" by John Paul Young from 1978...
https://youtu.be/NNC0kIzM1Fo
The second song was, believe it or not, "When You're in Love with a Beautiful Woman" by Dr. Hook, also from 1978 ...
https://youtu.be/uVXVO_vF2Io
Well, Spring is the time for weddings, isn't it? Most people wait for June, though.
I was thinking, while the wedding is going on, it might be the perfect time for Fee to make his escape. S'pose?
It's a shame that Simon will soon hear the news that his mother's body has been found and identified near the fishing cabin. I'm sure Fitzy probably killed her.
I think what I liked best about this chapter were the yells coming from Mr. Ellings' room as Nurse Lucy gave him a sponge bath! That was pretty special.
Nicely penned, Sally! An excellent chapter!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Those are perfect words for a wedding and the ceremony was beautiful if small. It is great when a murder mystery solved ends in a wedding and much love.

This is quite simply, an exquisitely written piece, Sally. I could add nothing -- would take away nothing. Your love of love shines through every line, my dear! And you even found space for the mystery of the body found at the cabin to pull us into the next chapter.
Again, gorgeously done.

The wedding was written very elegantly. What a special day for your characters, Simon and Candace. Isn't it wild how a person can get involved with a story? Wonderful chapter.

Comment from Debbie D'Arcy
A beautifully written chapter brimming with love and romance. That is a truly love passage from Corinthians expounding on the meaning of love. There is obviously tension in the background with the body yet to be identified and the impact it will inevitably have on Simon if discovered to be Victoria Elling. I enjoyed the reference to the coffee coming down before the cup and got quite luxuriously and indulgently immersed in the shopping expedition. Thanks for sharing, Sally. Debbie
