I need to read every educational thing that I can, even though at my age it's too late to try and get smart with so little time left. LOL. It's always a pleasure, my friend. Thanks for sharing.

I do prefer the taste of bourbon to whiskey. My alcoholic friend's doctor proved to her that bourbon was not as hard on her liver as whiskey. This is also a good reason to prefer bourbon, but I don't know how the doctor proved it anymore. This is an interesting article, although I don't quite understand a few of the terms you use. Pappy Van Winkle bourbon sounds like a tasting experience. Have you been to that distillery and do they hand out a tiny taste?

Appreciate your insights and the review. I was, past tense mainly due to my cancer, a JD whiskey drinker especially poured in the middle of a pina colada.

I am fascinated with stills both legal and illegal. Not advocating the illegal ones but the way they can do it is phenomenal. Great information here, presented in an interesting way. Great job. Look forward to more. Gretchen

Thanks for the continued whiskey lessons. I have several relative's who spent time in Levenworth because of bootlegging. My family lived back in the hills and took full advantage of the back country. You did a great job. Enjoy your evening. Shirley

This is interesting whether you drink or not. Have you personally done the Whisky tour? I was wondering it they have tastings at the distilleries and if so are you allowed a taste of the expensive one you mentioned? You say it didn't become legal in Tennessee until 2009. Jack Daniels was always advertised in the magazine printed up north. Why were they allowed to bottle and sell it if it wasn't legal? It was illegal in Mississippi where I grew up but it was still bootlegged and the government collected takes on it, which I never understood. Charcoal removes poison from people. I wonder if that is what the filtering process is about.

They have a blueberry pier flavor and parts of atenolol went to a dry Stalin places so Kentucky slipped right on by. They gave the reveries a run for their money traveling up and down those hills and water ways concealing the white lightening from the law, so many flavors today it isn't rightly fun anymore cause everyone is into the act of making legat stuff for contest and home consumption.

This is an exciting and informative chapter. You researched the topic thoroughly and presented it in an easily readable manner. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

I can remember taking a sip of bourbon when I was younger, it nearly lifted my head off my shoulders. I don't think it's actually legal in Australia, the alcoholic content is above the limit, however, Jack Daniels Whisky certainly is, it's populate here. Beautifully written Brett, blessings Roy
Typo : (unplesant) to consume. Unpleasant?

Thank you for sharing this with us. We have a completely alcohol-free house. I grew up with a father who had a drinking issue, so I made up my mind very early I wanted nothing to do with it. I am finding this novella very interesting to read. I never knew so much went into the process.

When I had three times where I have been inebriated to the point of having problems because of an aberration, I decided that I did not need to drink alcoholic beverages anymore. I do not understand why people become addicted to the alcohol, but I am so glad that I didn't. Patricia Patricia
