Once I realize that this is full fantasy with anamorphic characters, I see a powerful and gritty street-level drama with unlikely compatriots moving into what will be a dynamic development for both.

That was really good. A short story, but I would love it if you could write a book about these strange animals who have bonded. You could do amazing things with your characters. I came to read your writing after you'd fanned me. I don't know if you read my first chapter, you didn't say. I'm a time-traveller writer, but my new book goes further. Another world. Fantasy is my favourite genre, and I'm sure you go run with this flash fiction of yours. I joined FS as a children's story-poet, and have a few children's books published. Then I wrote a short prose story that seemed to go down very well. I turned that into a novel, which in turn ended up as a trilogy. I've now published 5 novels, one more is waiting in the wings that I finished a last year, and now my new book. I've also written 4 fantasy novels for my (then) 12 year old grandson. Go with this flash fiction story, get that dream done. You can do it, and we will all help. That was how it was with me, I was encouraged all the way from my friends on here. Also, fan more prose writers, that helps a lot as well. Well done with this story! Sandra xx

Your vocabulary is rich and descriptive and you set the scene so well, leading the reader directly to the alley way. Your tone is engaging and the character of the cat comes over clearly - we know they are sensitive and proud and feisty. I was a little thrown by the hyena having an apartment and the cat wearing a leather jacket, but as this is fantasy fiction, I broadened my mind and soon got over it! Love the last part - the tension is tangible and I wanted to read more... Do Alara and Atlas have a future together??

Ah, if it wasn't clear, they are anthropomorphized animals. Basically, I meant them to be in a human-like society. So they function like people just... animals! I like the diversity it gives me when writing.

Thank you so much! Alara is like my baby, I've had her with me as a character since I was eight years old, and this was the first piece I wrote for her.
