A really good Mother's Day poem. Even though it might have been difficult to do, you mentioned that some mothers have a hard time being good moms.

The author's words are filled with meaning. I found these words to be
beautiful, true and filled with love. Thank you for the author's notes -
I also believe this is true for Moms and Dads. The last line brought
tears to my eyes. The artwork is beautiful and goes well with the words
and theme of this poem. Happy Mother's Day!...Maria

Thank you for sharing your beautiful poem about what it means to be a mother. I am glad you later looked for your mother and we're able to build a good relationship with her. Best wishes for the contest.

Hi,
This is a well rhymed poem that tells the difference of the terms mother and mom. Though they are used interchangeably. Mom has a more loving feel now. Though in the old days it was always 'Mother" to show respect and love. This shows that giving a child up for adoption is a show of love if you make sure the child gets good parents.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.

Moms are extraordinary people who do everything they can to help their children become better humans. What a wonderfully written poem.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Dear Poet,
This is a lovely and loving
Mother's Day poem. It speaks
of the devotion and strength
it takes to be a wonderful
mother. Yes, some mothers
have difficult circumstances
and need to put their baby up
for adoption into a good home, but that takes a lot of
motherly love to do that.
May you have an inspirational
weekend. :)))))

Mystery poetess, this is lovely poem for Mom's day and I suspect from one who knows. I had a great example as a mother, and she was very mommish, very loving and attentive. She worked 40 hours a week and commuted so gone a lot. When she was home she made it count.

Thank you for sharing and beautifully so. Happy Mother's/Mom's Day!

Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the upcoming vote.

This is a very sweet verse revealing what it means to be a mother, not just the giving birth, but the tender loving throughout the years. In your fourth stanza you have a grammar error (whose, not who's, and in the next line, it should read "are forced, plural). Minor corrections that will make this piece shine.

You're absolutely correct, anyone, or at least every woman has the ability to be a mother, but once the mother becomes a mum, that special download from God, called unconditional, kicks in, a lot of adoptive mums know that, it's the poured into a chil that creates a fit person, beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy
