Well, there are many different ways to take a look at everything. But I'm more the bless them with a brick kind of guy, not a turn the other cheek. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Gretchen! I loved this! What a sensational idea to bring back Missy with a letter to Miranda. It adds natural closure to the parts we'd been gnawing on. Great Stuff! Best, JohnC

John, I've been haunted by both Missy and Miranda. I'm thinking about part 2 of Miranda's story. Maybe start a new mystery but close out the Dougie part. If, that is, Missy gives up the secret. Miranda has been very therapeutic for me while I dealt with a narcissist at work. Gotta get through Terry Joe first. Thanks fir this. Gretchen

You did a great job with this addition to the story,
Gretchen. I enjoyed reading this even if it was just
to be one chapter. It sounded to me like Missy was
putting on the airs trying to sound important and
not bothered by her situation when she really is.
She's out of her element of having all eyes on her
for the reasons not connected to being in jail. Maybe
Irene is a real friend. We'd see if there ever was a riot
whether she was or wasn't. Are you planning a sequel?
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I am planning a sequel. Through Miranda's eyes again. I can't let her go. We'll see how it goes after I finish Terry Joe. Thank you so much. Greychen

Poor old Missy, she's as nutty as an almond tree farm, I guess narcissistic people don't really change, there's a theory the Donald Trump is a little like that, I think if I was rejected by the voters I wouldn't go back for more, I don't think the counting of votes is crooked...is it? Beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

She is a nut case. Unfortunately, the Democrats have been known to enroll dead people in their rolls. I'm sure the Republicans have done their share of underhanded things. And yes, the votes are sometimes lost or erased. Politics are ugly business. Thank you for this awesome review. Gretchen

The most I can say is that this piece is well written. Is this part of a larger story, or does it stand alone? It sounds as though the reader should already be familiar with Missy and why she landed in jail. Still, if this is an independent story, the reference to Miranda is interesting and makes the reader wonder what happened to their friendship.

Miranda Chronicles was a book I just published. Missy was the antagonist in that. Thank-you so much for this nice review. Gretchen

Missy is truly sick, but this is a really good write. I enjoyed reading. Thank you for allowing her to have a voice.

But I know you'll agree that he kinda had it coming. (omit 'that' and he did not have it coming. LOL)

"Hey, Missy," a tall mixed race girl (period after 'Missy')

Thanks, Barbara. Missy did a typically "Missy" thing. She has rationalized everything she did. I'm glad you liked this. I really miss Miranda. Hope to start book 2 in a couple of months. Gretchen

Prison, a sleep away camp? Interesting comparison.

Seems Missy is rather presumptuous and looney. Keeps writing Miranda and getting no reply. Suppose she just does not get the message Miranda is over her.

This could lead to quite a confrontation when Missy Poo gets out of the Big House.

I doubt Missy will ever get released. Lol. She was a very bad girl. Thank you for this awesome review. Gretchen

I've sometimes thought I wouldn't mind going to jail for a spell (only because I'm a female, much gentler n the other sort), if I felt strongly enough about something that I would not pay the fine or feel remorse. I would keep a detailed diary and publish it when I got out.

Missy is definitely a bit weird. I can't imagine Miranda ever wanting to reestablish their "friendship". I am so glad to read this update. They really are almost living people.
Lol. Well done, as always.

Lol. They are living people to me. The narcissist that tormented me for years but finally left the pharmacy called me. Wanted us to go shopping. I politely declined. But it got me thinking about the other side of the coin. She said she really misses me, we were so close. Blah, blah blah. It's chilling to think someone has no conscience. Thank you so much for this. Gretchen

Interesting seeing Missy return. She is a bit confused. I don't think Miranda has any time for her after all the trouble she caused. This was a good read, from a different angle. No spags.
