Hi Sally,
In all my 72 years, I never ran across "vainglorious"... boastful. Just wondering when you discovered it?
"One hundred million, my friend. I have a high-maintenance staff." ... How crazy rich is Fitzgerald Edward Elling that he could pay his lawyer such an extravagant amount of money, and still have enough leftover for plastic surgery?
I'm curious how Mr. Farnsworth can hope to free Fee. Surely, he must be locked up and guarded. But I guess money talks, and if Kenny is getting one hundred million from Fee, then he's got money to throw around. It sounds like Kenny knows his way around the underworld if he knows all the best plastic surgeons.
"I've asked God to forgive me for selling (by) body for money, and for stealing money from my employers." ... ( did you mean to type "my body"?)
If Fee does escape, and change his looks, I wonder what he'll do then. He's got loads of money. He'll need a safe haven somewhere, and time to let the air clear. He'll want to get revenge on Simon and Candace, so they'll be constantly looking over their shoulders. Not a great way to live a normal life.
Looking forward to the next chapter, Sally. (No wonder I always say that~)
Nicely penned!

Thank you for the lovely review and generous stars, Kim. I'm the Scrabble champ of my family so I have a good vocabulary. I'm glad you liked vainglorious. Thanks for the clean up help. I don't know what in the world happened to that line. Thanks! I have repaired it. Stay tuned! Sending you my very best today as always.

Oh Goodness, there's a lot going on here and I'm afraid I'm a bit behind. But the plot is building very fast with Simon and Candace about to get married; Fee wanting his lawyer to get him out on bail and the climax of this last section. It's all flawlessly written with excellent pace, good dialogue and drama in spades. Thanks for sharing, Sally. Debbie

Happy outcomes as Simon and Candace plan a wedding after such a long and twisted road to get there. Good descriptions of Fee's sleazy lawyer. Great finish too, Sally as Tammy rushes into the arms of Sally and Jackson. Another good read,
Cheers

I'm glad Tammy is finally found. Her family will be thrilled. They must have thought her dead. And I can't imagine Fee will get away, no matter what that slick lawyer of his does. Patience won't allow it.

This is a great chapter. I like that Simon and Candace are getting married. They are meant to be together. I was worried when the knock came on the door of Raoul's and Tammy's room. I was glad it was Sally and Jackson Law at the door. It has been a long time since I read that chapter, but I seem to recall that they have a connection to Tammy--which explains why she rushed into Sally's arms! Can't wait for the next chapter.

This is an excellent chapter. You moved the story along nicely, and it kept my attention from beginning to end. I look forward to the next chapter. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Well, we're tying up all the loose ends now. It appears happy endings all around - hoping Fee's attorney takes his money then heads for an island somewhere:-)
Good chapter, Sal.

It's not over yet. But looks like Tammy and Raoul will be helped to start anew. So long as Fee and his crooked lawyer don't get away with his plan. Three interesting sections. Well done.
