A very good rhyming 15 syllable verse with fun image conveying this wonderful sense of childhood (and adult) enjoyment once the snow begins. Not sure I want to think about that coldness right now but the theme is well done in accurate syllable count. Thanks for sharing and good luck! Debbie

I feel cold already...! Your poem, though misplaced in time ( just joking, as I really hate winter!) conveys an undeniable atmosphere of a cold winter day. I also like the fact that you are mostly thinking of children - who truly delight in winter. Good job.

We are in Spring here in the USA, but as far as Winter poems go, yours is excellent. I enjoyed the colorful words and the picture as well. it was a very good use of the syllables you had. Best wishes!

Winter here, but we're far enough north that we won't have snow and even if we did it's doubtful I would think it 'fun'!
However, your wee poem does capture that sense of excitement in other climes at the first snowfall of the season. Nicely done.
