I kind of like the thought about the messy tendrilled hair. I guess that would be the small leaves right below the blossom?

It can be bittersweet... someone is missing her lover. Or it's about flowers LoL Most Japanese poetry leave a lot to the reader's interpretation.

Oh, I like that "messy tendril hair" which works for the flower as well as maybe for the narrator as well. Great job and we feel for the narrator who projects her feelings on to the flower with her thoughts of her beloved.
