This is a lovely tanka poem which makes the love bloom like a sun rise. And your choice of pictures and font colors give the reader the sense of the growing love. Nice use of metaphor, too!

Gypsy, I enjoy any poem that quotes a line from B. Dylan despite not fully grasping the intended meaning behind the words. What is the object of your affection in this poem? If I was to read this without the accompanying photos I'd say this is a poem about a lover leaving in the morning, his/her leaving makes you sad but it also makes you recognize how much you care for this person. Am I on the right track?

Yes, you are right, it's a love poem, most tanka poems are. I was thinking about Bob Dylan song, so you are right again. There is something about that's very poetic. I love his music, he is not just a singer, he is a poet, probably the best one of our generation.
