What a wonderful tanka, Gypsy. The pictures of the swimmer represented the calmness of the water and the coral showed the calmness that surrounded the water. Your words showed that there was a peacefulness. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Right about now I would love to be at the Gulf and allowing waves to wash over my body. That would be perfect. Thank you for sharing this poem with us. It's making me want to join the poem.

Hi Gypsy Queen,
there's so much to consider, but also love, reading this tanka poem.
Firstly, the visual takes you to a place of renewal; your first line sets the scene so perfectly, while the next line produces the nature of texture allowing one to feel the words... and yes, the ocean, tides, currents etc have their own rhythm that may change on a whim. The play on words within your last line sums it up beautifully.
Your trademark picture perfect presentation and construction always brings a higher level or appreciation.
Exceptionally Magic!
With our thoughts we create...
an ever changing rhythm.
Kind regards,
James.

I like the personification of the wind surfing without a board. To me the poem speaks more than about the wind and waves but about the mental struggles the narrator has about ambivalent feelings.
