Sandra your words of consolation of Judi's loss show deep feeling for her. This could be used for anyone's los of husband by changing Duck to the new name.
The poem flows smoothly and there are no forced rhymes.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Thank you, Joan. That is so nice of you. I wouldn't mind if anyone who has lost a loved one used my poem. Sadness and grief is so painful, it cuts at our hearts and it takes a while to move past that point. Thank you for that gold star, my friend. I appreciate you a lot. Have a lovely weekend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

It was such a shock to learn Dick had died, it wasn't expected when he went into hospital. Thank you for reading my small part in helping her through this. I'm glad you liked it. Lots of love, Sandra xx

This is a beautiful poem of comfort that you have written to encourage Judi at this time. These lines are so true:
"But God did listen, He was there, He stood right by your side
He cried with you, He knew your pain, His love is oceans wide."

Once again, I am touched how sensitive and aware you are about people's gains and losses. This is important because it isan opportunity for us to pray, sending healing and condolences for those in need. Thank you

Thank you for reading this poem, Liz. It would prefer not to have written it and Judi had been able to take her dear hubby home again. Thanks, my dear friend. :) Sandra xx

It's always nice when kindhearted people step up and offer a few words of encouragement to our Fanstory friends who are suffering the pains of losing loved ones. This life is just preparing for the next one and although Dick has gone on first, I'm sure he'll be waiting with arms open wide for Judi to arrive. Thanks for sharing.

This is a very touching poem for Judi. This is the time she would need lot of solace .Your first stanza so realistic I remember when I lost my father just two weeks before my wedding, this is exactly what I thought .How can everything looks so normal ?
I am sure Judi will find it comforting.

Thank you, Sanku, that is so nice of you. I'm sorry you lost your father so near your wedding. That must have been a tough one not to have him there walking you down the aisle. I hope this does help Judi, to know many of us understand what she is feeling. Thanks so much, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra. xx

Wonderful entry for the book. Thinking of judiverse.
I have read many chapters. It's such a great idea... very kind.
Good rhyme and meter that doesn't sound forced. Nice presentation and imagery. Good luck in the contest.

Sure she will appreciate these sentiments and thoughts well contained in this cheery poem, though the occasion may not be.
It is times like these one needs all the support they can muster.
