Zikes! (How's that for an educated response?)
This is....fascinating and deep and grace filled and so sublimely written in an aabb rhyme scheme.
It is as if you were literally divinely inspired. (Is the Holy Spirit a muse unline any other?)
As one who is turning the corner around the final bend of life's road, this stanza just grabbed me:
"It is at these times that I must re-double
my grasp of Faith and question, not the trouble,
that simply passes all human understanding.
But, trust in God, every trial notwithstanding"
When I am fretting and worried... There comes a time when I ultimately release all of that and realize "God's got this."
THIS poem offers that ray of light...
One of your best in a month long quest of brilliant poems!
Karenina
Looking at each set of two lines as "couplets" is equally impressive.

Ah, well you don't need me to validate you--
But I'm thrilled you think my comments so!

As you have pointed out, Jim, God's work is all around us. You mentioned the winter of your life. I am either there or in late autumn. The spirit world is waiting.

Paul, perhaps you might agree that we are entering the best phase of life.
-
I might agree if I could get rid of the aches and pains.

Another very thoughtfully written poem with faith as central - despite all the grief and difficulties that this life brings at times. There are times to resolutely double our faith and trust, and keep going in His strength and with His wisdom and love. Very thoughtfully writte, also encouraging and uplifting.

This is a complex poem that draws on the seasons very effectively to demonstrate the essence of faith through every circumstance. I liked the way he started with Spring and ended with Winter, before branching out to encompass more aspects of the reason to have faith in God.
Thank you for a thought-provoking poem! Guðbjörg

another masterful Christian theme poem about walking the path, finding god along the way, searching for the truth in an often cold and cruel world where having faith is a constant struggle

Two opposing viewpoints. Man is cheered by simply observing the creations that make up the natural world. Gods word tells you in plain language how it all occurred. His word explains how rain is formed, how it waters the land, gives birth to plants and those who rely on the plants. He explains the process of photosynthesis. How the dead return tot the soil from which it comes. All provable. Consider this, these thing were written down before man discovered science. When learned men tried to explain how the earth was supported the bible book of Job said that the earth was suspended in the sky supported by nothing that was visible to the eye. The wonder of God's works are inexcusable, and need no convincing argument. They stand by virtue of their existence.

Nomi, you speak the words of Wisdom, written by the prophets that pro-offered the Truth of Gods omniscient and omnipotence as declared as follows:
Nowhere is God?s omnipotence seen more clearly than in creation. God said, "Let there be?" and it was so (Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, etc.). Man needs tools and materials to create; God simply spoke, and by the power of His word, everything was created from nothing. "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth" (Psalm 33:6).
How priveledged we are, Amen!

This is such a beautiful poem of faith! It isn't when everything is rosy that we grow in faith, it's when those dark times we "must re-double
our grasp of Faith and question" and continue to trust. I hope you'll enter a poem like this for the Faith poem contest!

Thank you so much. I might give that go, thanks for the suggestion.
Comment from Sally Law
It's hardest to trust when we're in a black place. After the loss of my eyesight and my precious granddaughter, I was unable to even pray. God seemed a million light years away. But he never let up and never let me go. A wonderfully penned and illustrated poem of the faith we need all the time.
Sending you my very best.

Sally, as always thank you prayerful, for your positive reinforcement of my work.qq
Comment from Tom Horonzy
As usual, you nailed it, and confirmed you have a devote testimony. The one suggestion I have is in regards to the closing line. "God is who made straight my path, by doing my part!" God will make my path straight, if and when I do my part.
Well done.

Spot on Tom, my good man! Admirable suggestion, thank you!
Comment from Carol Hillebrenner
This is a very intense poem about the need to continue to trust in God's grace. The fall and winter of our lives calls on us to be ever more sure of what we believe. One thing that seems to need change: "no man (can) console" seems more accurate.
