Hi, this is quite amusing, because it reminded me of those years with the children making popcorn - eating a lot myself, but most of all burning my fingers! Well done, you really nailed the subject Giddy

I'm reading your poem just as my husband popped microwave popcorn so "It fills the air like a county fair;" is a real feeling for me now. I enjoyed your 5-7-5 in the beginning especially the "explosive snacking" and "Shall no corn kernel go unpopped." Now I better get a few without burning my fingers!

This is really a fun poem I liked it when you described pop corn as explosive snacking
It does not have much food value but it really is a fun snack only trouble is that one tends to go on popping it into the mouth.
