Faith. I believe I just mentioned it in my last review as an essential part of lasting love...and so I am again happily surprised that just as my own mind was assimilating this, YOU have turned to yet another theme of growth and change...and (more importantly)-- the blest reminder that in a world of changes and challenges, there is He who created us...who never alters His love for us!

These are beautiful explanations of what occurs in the Bible, which I appreciate. You really do have a way with words, I understand better when reading your poetry. Thank you for sharing.

I sure value you, as a constant reminder to me, that words shared can provide someone something of importance.

What an excellent poem! I love that you took Genesis 1:3 and broke it into headers for this. i love that you equate the physical light to spiritual goals of God for each child. Wonderful! You also lined up the first day with birth, which was cool.
A great poem! I enjoyed reading it and hope to read more.
Blessings,
Deb

Great artwork choice. Nice biblical quotes. I liked how you weaved the biblical quotes with your interpretation in stanzas. Very nice storytelling style. Excellent work :)

Hi Jim,
This poem has rhymed and unrhymed stanzas but still flows well.
It shows how the first day began and every first day for every newborn,
The baby comes out of the dark into the light.
The light of faith shows us the path so we won't be blind. But some still are.
Keep writing and stay healthy

There is a very good reason that Satan the Devil hates God and all the those he loves. Satan will never be able to create anything as awesomely beautiful as the Earth and all of its inhabitants. Satan, despite his best efforts will never have servants that will forego their own best interests, comforts and self service to render worshipful devotion to their God.

God is the light of the world. Yes, we have free will. God wants us to choose to follow Him. I fear many in today's world have chosen not too. This is a wonderful NaPoWriMO contest entry. Good luck.

Interesting format, with these stanzas juxtaposed between the lines from the Bible and the creation of light story. It waxes a bit philosophical, reads like an interpretation and expounding on that image of the creation of light, the possibilities in that moment as well as the pitfalls to come and the sacrifice of Jesus. estory

Hi JLR,
You obviously have a strong faith, and this is reflected within your words which was nicely presented in font choice and image. Well, we are a 1/3rd of the way through this challenge and I think some good work has been produced
Cheers Chris

Chris, yes so many good submissions are reflected within FS on this annual contest, it is such a wonderful experience to read the depth of talent, in which I play a minor part.
