Hello Brett,
I applaud you for doing so much research on this issue. I've never even heard it discussed before. I suppose it's because the focus should be on Jesus and what he did, but as the word has mentioned, he obviously affected a great number of people with miracles while he was living. This was really interesting. I'm glad you shared this.
Have a blessed day.

I find the information of these participants in the crucifixion really interesting. I have never investigated on my own so I thank you for posting this. You never know what you don't know until someone puts it in front of you. Thanks again. Gretchen

Like you, I've learned not to debate religion since not all react in a Christianly way. Plus, it's not the best way to witness and create interest in what you'd like to share. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Much appreciated. Hope all is well in your world these days.

This is some really interesting information. My Sunday school class was debating where the idea came from that Christ went to hell while he was dead, which is mentioned in the Apostolic Creed. You did some really impressive research for this article.

That was most interesting, although it may be just legends. I'm not Catholic, but there do seem to be some issues with Longinus's story. The main thing however is to worship Jesus, and not be distracted by other good people. We'll probably never know for sure about the spear, nor about the healing. But very interesting and well-written read.

I didn't know there was a supposed relic of the spear that pierced Christ. I'm not surprised because anything associated with the crucifixion would likely become a relic. Whether or not is the actual one or not is debatable. It makes an interesting story, particularly about the the healing of the soldier.

Appreciate your comments and the review. Have unanswered questions about Longinus.

Thanks for the info, my friend. I have problems dealing with Catholic relics, specifically the bones of the dead. As far as if the spear relics are real, I don't think we'll ever know for sure. Have a great evening. Shirley

Appreciate your comments and the review. Perhaps one day, all the unanswered questions will make sense and we will all know the whole story.

The one thing I know is the fruit of ancient scripture was fulfilled when the Roman soldier pierced the side of Jesus after He had died, in Zechariah 12:10-11, you will read of that account of Jesus being pierced, and it's God Himself speaking in the first person, it might help. Well done, blessings Brett. It's a great write, it's the doubt of these happenings that bothers me, although I like the theories, it makes for "good" crossovers.

Well cited verse. Perhaps I am trying to see if anyone can prove with book, chapter, and verse what I tend to believe is so much hocus pocus? Believe John told the story well himself. Not sure it even matters what the centurion's name was. I am not persuaded much of the legends surrounding Loginus contain much water. Appreciate your comments and the review.

No, I find it interesting, even though it?s creative fiction, I ask God, but I?m not sure if He?s interested in anything outside of faith, heh heh.

A lot of stuff going on here about the death of Jesus Christ
We all know of course He was crucified on a Rosewood cross at Calvary.
And, then after a while suffering up there.
So a Roman Century felt sorry for him.
And shoved the spear through Jesus's sid.
Finally putting him to rest but only of course temporarily.
This was very rich and informative.
The Whole Wide World still knows very little as few records were ever kept.
He was sacrificed way too early for that.
Thanks,
