This is beautiful and I really like it. I light candles on the anniversaries of the day my loved ones were born and the day they passed on. Your poem captures the remembrance and the loss. Good luck in the contest.

This is a fine essence poem and about something I think all of us can relate to. I do question why in the second line you didn't just write, My heart yearns just the same. Remember to make your poetry clear.
