So many "changes of the season" within one life! Autumn is my favorite time of year and I can relate to so much of what you've described here...
Also, I am well past the first turning of autumn leaves in the season of my earthly life... still, I find beauty in the shifting colors, the majesty of trees stripped bare, and yet still so brave to face the oncoming winter!
I've always enjoyed your work. This "journey" is one I'm happy to be embarking on, with you!

Lovely poem. The peace and serenity and absolute stillness are well described as are the resultant emotions you experienced. Sounds like indeed one of those unforgettable moments. Vivid and lyrical imagery.

I really like this poem and the picture that portrays it so well. I do have several suggestions. The seasons are not capitalized, unless you wish to do so for effect. The second stanza has "of" at the end of one line, beginning of next. (I've done that way too often!) The next to the last stanza jumps to third person (one) while the others are in first person. (like when I experience ... in memory or my memory)

This sounds like a meditative write Jim and I wonder if you partake in meditation? I particularly enjoyed this stanza:
Within this scene,
a reverie of timelessness deepens,
much like the mirroring of the stately trees
aglow on the pond's surface.
This place where my Being is enveloped
in a sudden sense of unfathomable awe,
which transcends words.
To find timelessness like this requires a deep concentration on the scenes around us and a sense of being at one with nature where time is motionless and there is a magical feeling of well being.
You are excelling at these deeply moving nature writes and I am enjoying your posts very much, love Dolly x

Hi Jim,
This is a very reflective poem. It like a form of meditation of the scene.
It is so serene and I can see why you find peace in a place so beautiful.
You can keep the memory of this place and the emotions it welled up by taking a pictures.
I this it should be autumn sun's rays.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
